Snow!
Here are the pictures I took on the way into work this morning. Plus one of the crazy cat who still thinks it's a good idea to dash outside.
Right after I got off the bus on the south side of campus.
This building was to my left. I love some of the buildings on campus.
A little closer as I walked east. The wind was blowing very hard to the east - I was getting moved across the sidewalk!
Almost to my building, this shows the sidewalk, bike path, and the newly created rain garden.
I think this tree is very cool. The rain garden is nice, too.
Look back southwest over the rain garden.
It's hard to see, but the wind was blowing the surface of the rain garden, and it was rippling far away, iced over closer to me, and nearly frozen right at the edge where I was standing.
The side entrance I use to get to my temporary office. We should be moving back to the old building soon.
Thyme not quite enjoying the iced over sidewalk. Brr! It is less than 20F with the wind chill right now.

It is painfully obvious that 1) a mom lives here who 2) needs to go to the store pretty badly. If you look closely you can spot the telltale items.

I have been reading the Discworld series all year. To the dismay of one friend, I am insisting on reading them in their published order. I just finished Maskerade, and while I enjoyed it, I don't think it is my favorite story involving the Witches. However, I wouldn't skip it either. You get to see the Watch, Death, Death of Rats, and some other fun characters.
My son (8 years old) reads a ton of series, but had not interest in
this one. I picked it up since he wouldn't, and ended up really
enjoying it. At times, the series dragged or was a bit above the ages recommended, but in the end it was pretty satisfying. It's nice to read an author who knows how to truly provide an end to a series.
